MEMORY SEAT FEATURE INOPERATIVE
TEST DESCRIPTION

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
3. This step verifies that Personalization in the driver information center (DIC) is active. Memory seats cannot function if personalization is turned OFF. A check mark after personalization indicates that it is active.
4. This step verifies that the Personalization Option in the dash integration module (DIM) is activated. Memory seats cannot function if the option is turned OFF. An asterisk beside the personalization option indicates that the option is activated.
5. Turning ON the headlamps in this step eliminates the possibility of the memory function switch finding an alternative path to ground through the illumination circuit.
8. This step tests the integrity of the memory 1 switch signal circuit of the driver door switch assembly. If the fuse in the jumper wire opens when you perform this test, a short to battery voltage may have occurred.
10. This step tests the integrity of the memory 2 switch signal circuit of the driver door switch assembly. If the fuse in the jumper wire opens when you perform this test, a short to battery voltage may have occurred.
