Steering Column Jacket Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in Air Bags and Seat Belts.
2. Remove the steering column tilt head (1).
3. Check the steering column for accident damage.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the steering column tilt head (1).
2. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in Air Bags and Seat Belts.
