Fastener Tightening Specifications

Cylinder Head - Left





Cylinder Head Bolt - M8
^ First Pass 15 Nm (10 lb ft)
^ Final Pass 60 Degrees

Cylinder Head Bolt - M11
^ First Pass 45 Nm (33 lb ft)
^ Final Pass 120 degrees

Cylinder Head - Right





Cylinder Head Bolt - M11
^ First Pass 45 Nm (33 lb ft)
^ Final Pass 120 degrees

Do not re-use old M-11 Bolts.

Intake Manifold

Intake Manifold Bolts 23 Nm (17 lb ft)

Tighten the intake manifold bolts in a circular pattern starting from the center and moving outward.

Camshaft Bearing Cap

Left:




Right:





Camshaft Cap Bolt 10 Nm (89 lb in)

Main Bearing Cap





Tighten the inboard bolts (1-8) 20 Nm (15 lb ft) plus 80 degrees





Tighten the outboard bolts (9-16) 15 Nm (11 lb ft) plus 110 degrees





Tighten the short/inner bolts (17-20) 30 Nm (22 lb ft) plus 60 degrees
Tighten the long/outer bolts (21-24) 30 Nm (22 lb ft) plus 60 degrees

Rod Bearing Cap

First Pass 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
Final Pass additional 110 degrees using the J45059.

Crankshaft Pulley

Crankshaft Balancer Bolt 100 Nm (74 lb ft)
Tighten the crankshaft balancer bolt an additional 150 degrees using the J45059.

Oil Pump
Oil Pump Bolts 23 Nm (17 lb ft)

Exhaust Manifold
Exhaust Manifold 20 Nm (15 lb ft)

Water Pump
Water Pump Bolts 10 Nm (89 lb in)
