Shift Lever Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the steering column trim covers.
2. Roll back the seal on the shift lever until the TORX(R) head shift lever screw is exposed.




3. Remove the TORX(R) head shift lever screw.
4. Disconnect the shift lever electrical connector.
5. Remove the shift lever from the steering column.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the shift lever to the steering column.
2. Connect the shift lever electrical connector.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the TORX(R) head shift lever screw.

Tighten the screw to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

4. Roll the seal over the TORX(R) head shift lever screw.
5. Install the steering column trim covers.
