Sunroof and Sunshade Drive Tube Retainer Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Vent the rear window.
2. Open the rear sunshade.
3. Remove the headliner.
4. Remove the center and rear vent windows.
5. Remove the rear sunshade.
6. Loosen all of the rear track assembly screws.




7. Carefully pull downward the front edge of the rear track. (3).
8. Release the drive tube retainer from the drive tubes and the track.




9. Remove the retainer (3) from the sunroof track (5).

Installation Procedure




1. Position the retainer (2) to the drive tube (4) and the track (3).
2. Secure the upper half of the retainer to the lower half of the retainer.
3. Measure the tracks side to side to ensure that the tracks are parallel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.




4. Install the rear track screws.

Tighten the screws to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

5. Install the rear sunshade assembly.
6. Install the headliner.
7. Install the center and rear vent windows.
8. Perform the rear vent window sunshade initialization procedure. Refer to Sunroof Rear Window Initialization Process.
