Sunroof Motor/Actuator Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the center sunroof window.




2. Disconnect the motor/actuator electrical harness from either the front window motor/actuator (1) or the rear vent window motor/actuator (4).
3. Remove the motor/actuator to motor/actuator block screws.

Important: The motor/actuator may need to be rocked side-to-side in order to release the drive gear from the cables.

4. Pull the sunroof motor/actuator up.
5. Remove the applicable motor/actuator from the motor/actuator block.

Installation Procedure




1. Slide the front window cable and guide assembly completely forward until the front edge of the guide assembly (1) stops at the rear edge of the front extension.




2. Connect the motor/actuator electrical harness to the front window motor (1) or to the rear vent window motor (4).
3. Install the sunroof front window motor/actuator.
4. Rock the motor/actuator in order to position the drive gear into the drive and driven cables of the motor/actuator block.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

5. Install the 3 motor/actuator screws.

Tighten the screws to 5 N.m (4 lb in).

6. Install the front sunroof window.
7. Install the center sunroof window.
8. Perform the window initialization procedure. Refer to Sunroof Front Window/Sunshade Initialization Process or to Sunroof Rear Window Initialization Process.
