Intermediate Steering Shaft Seal Replacement (Right Hand Drive)

Removal Procedure

1. Disable the SIR system.





Caution: Refer to Restraint System Service Precautions.

Important: The steering column is removed with the upper intermediate shaft attached.

2. Remove the steering column.
3. Remove the intermediate shaft seal from the mod plate.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the intermediate shaft seal to the mod plate, ensuring the seal between the intermediate shaft seal and mod plate.
2. Install the steering column.
3. Enable the SIR system.
