Rear Door Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Mark the location of the hinges, upper and lower, on the door with a grease pencil.
2. Remove the door trim panel.
3. Remove the inside door handle.
4. Remove the water deflector.
5. Remove the window inner belt sealing strip.
6. Remove the inner window seal.
7. Remove the door window.
8. Remove the window outer belt sealing strip.
9. Remove the rear door stationary window.
10. Remove the window regulator.
11. Remove the door frame applique.
12. Remove the door bottom auxiliary sealing strip.
13. Remove the front window run channel.
14. Remove the door latch.
15. Remove the outside door handle.
16. Remove the rear door upper auxiliary weatherstrip.
17. Remove the door check link.
18. Open the front door.




19. Disconnect the door wire harness from the body wire harness (2).
20. Remove the wiring harness retainers from the door (1).
21. Remove the rubber conduit and wiring harness from the door.
22. Support the door.
23. With the aid of an assistant, remove the hinge to door bolts in order to remove the door.

Installation Procedure

1. With the aid of an assistant, install the door to the vehicle.
2. Support the door.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the hinge to door bolts.

Tighten the hinge to door bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

4. Install the door check link.
5. Route the wiring harness and conduit into the door.




6. Install the door wiring harness retainers to the door (1).
7. Connect the door wiring harness electrical connector to the body wiring harness electrical connector (2).
8. Install the rear door upper auxiliary weatherstrip.
9. Install the door latch.
10. Install the outside door handle.
11. Install the front window run channel.
12. Install the door bottom auxiliary sealing strip.
13. Install the door frame applique.
14. Install the rear door stationary window.
15. Install the window regulator.
16. Install the window outer belt sealing strip.
17. Install the door window.
18. Install the inner window seal.
19. Install the window inner belt sealing strip.
20. Install the water deflector.
21. Install the inside door handle.
22. Install the door trim panel.
23. Inspect for proper door adjustment.
24. Touch up any paint damage to the rear door hinge, fasteners, and check link with body color paint.
