Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the auxiliary evaporator from the auxiliary HVAC module. Refer to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Replacement (Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Replacement) .
2. Remove the auxiliary thermal expansion valve (TXV) assembly bolts.
3. Remove the auxiliary TXV from the auxiliary evaporator.
4. Remove and discard the O-rings.



Installation Procedure

1. Install new O-rings to the auxiliary TXV assembly. Refer to O-Ring Replacement (Service and Repair) .




2. Install the auxiliary TXV to the evaporator.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

3. Install the auxiliary TXV bolts to the auxiliary evaporator.

Tighten the bolt to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in).

4. Install the auxiliary evaporator to the auxiliary HVAC module. Refer to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Replacement (Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Replacement) .
