Front Seat Recliner Actuator Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution (SIR Caution) .
1. Remove the front bucket seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat Replacement) .
2. Remove the power recliner position sensor. Refer to Front Seat Recliner Position Sensor Replacement (Front Seat Recliner Position Sensor Replacement) .
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the motor.




4. Remove the recliner motor retaining nuts (1).
5. Slide the motor off of the shaft.



Installation Procedure

1. Slide the recliner motor on to the shaft





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the recliner motor nuts (1).

Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (88 lb in).

3. Install the electrical connector.
4. Install the recliner position sensor. Refer to Front Seat Recliner Position Sensor Replacement (Front Seat Recliner Position Sensor Replacement) .
5. Install the seat into the vehicle. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat Replacement) .
