Rear Seat Number 2 Back Recliner Actuator Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Rear Number 2 Folding Seat Replacement (Rear Number 2 Folding Seat Replacement) .
2. Remove the seat cushion cover. Refer to Rear Seat Number 2 Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Rear Seat Number 2 Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement) .
3. Remove the rear seat recliner outer finish covers.




4. Remove the push on retainer (1) from the recliner motor driveshaft.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the motor.




6. Slide the shaft (1) out of the recliner motor (2) and bushings (3).



Installation Procedure






Important: Ensure that the bushings are installed facing as shown in illustration.


1. Slide the recliner motor driveshaft (1) through the recliner motor (2) and the bushings (3).
2. Connect the electrical connector to the recliner motor.




3. Install a new push on retainer (1) on the recliner motor driveshaft.
4. Install the rear seat recliner covers.
5. Install the seat cushion cover. Refer to Rear Seat Number 2 Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Rear Seat Number 2 Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement) .
6. Install the seat into the vehicle. Refer to Rear Number 2 Folding Seat Replacement (Rear Number 2 Folding Seat Replacement) .
7. Calibrate the seat. Refer to Power Folding Seat Calibration (Programming and Relearning) .
