Limited Slip Differential Disassemble

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

1. Drain the oil from the limited slip differential and fit the drain plug with a new seal and tighten to 25 Nm (18.4 lb ft).
2. Remove the complete unit, differential clutch and limited slip differential. Refer to Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement
3. Seal the drive shaft holes in the limited slip differential and clean the housing.
4. Place the unit on its side.




5. Remove the bolts (1).
6. Remove the right-hand limited slip differential housing (2).
