With Feedback Carburetor

1. Disconnect and plug purge vacuum hose at vapor canister.
2. Connect a dwell meter to single wire taped to mixture control solenoid wires at carburetor. Set dwell meter on 6 cylinder scale.
3. Connect tachometer to engine.
4. Apply parking brake. Place manual transmission in neutral; automatic in drive.

CAUTION: Use extreme care when engine is running. Do not stand in direct line with the fan. Do not place hands near pulley, belts or fan. Do not wear loose clothing.

5. Start engine and allow to reach normal operating temperature. Dwell meter needle should now he oscillating between 10 and 50 degrees. Maximum sweep of needle oscillation should cover a 15 degree segment. If not, the Computer Control system should be checked.
6. Momentarily open throttle to allow idle solenoid to he fully extended. Adjust curb idle speed by turning solenoid adjusting screw.
7. Disconnect solenoid wire and adjust carburetor curb idle speed to 500 rpm, then reconnect solenoid wire.
