1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove cluster bezel, then with shift lever in ``Park'' remove screw securing shift indicator cable to steering column.
3. Remove four screws securing cluster to instrument horizontal support, Fig. 8. On vehicles equipped with speed control sensor, disconnect sensor from cluster before completely removing cluster assembly. This will prevent connector from damaging cluster during removal.
4. Disengage speedometer cable at neck by pulling cluster straight out and depressing retaining spring. To remove cluster, place shift lever in low range and on cars with tilt wheel, place wheel in lowest position.
5. Rotate cluster downward, disconnect printed circuit connector and remove cluster.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
