A/T - 3254L Burnt Over-Run Clutch/Bind-up into 4th Gear

COMPLAINT:
Burnt over-run clutch along with a feeling of a bind-up when hot going into 4th gear.
CAUSE:
The cause may be that the sleeve inside the turbine shaft has come loose, allowing lube oil to apply the over-run clutch. The clutch burning, and the bind-up occur with the over-run clutch applied while going into 4th.
CORRECTION:
To correct, replace the turbine shaft, or air check by blowing air into the over-run passage and watching for air bubbles out of the lube circuit.
