Fuse & Relay Checks

1. With engine ``Off'' and ignition ``On,'' ground yellow test lead located near compressor.
2. Disconnect compressor relay. Using a suitable test lamp, test for voltage at terminal 839 on Eldorado, Riviera and Seville, or terminal 39 on all other models. If no voltage exists, replace fuse and retest. If voltage exists, proceed to step 4 for 1985 DeVille and Fleetwood models, or step 3 for all other models.
3. Place test light lead in terminal of relay connector 923 and probe terminal 39 on all models except Eldorado, Riviera and Seville. On Eldorado, Riviera and Seville models, probe terminal 839 of relay connector. If no voltage exists, repair open in yellow wire to compressor. If voltage exists, replace relay and repeat test.
4. Replace relay or repair open in yellow wire to compressor and retest.
