SUBJECT: POOR PERFORMANCE AT WIDE OPEN THROTTLE

MODELS AFFECTED: 1982 ELDORADO AND SEVILLE


Some 1982 "E/K" vehicles equipped with a 4.1L V-6 engine may experience poor performance at wide open throttle. This may be described as running out of fuel when actually the engine is running too rich.

A secondary metering rod package (rods coded "DZ") with part number 17075268 has been released for service on these vehicles.

Service Manual procedures for removal and installation should be followed.
