Throttle Valve (T.V.) Cable

1. Remove cruise control rod, if equipped.





2. Disconnect T.V. cable and throttle rod from bellcrank, see image.

3. Loosen throttle rod locknut, then shorten rod several turns.





4. Rotate bellcrank to full throttle position, hold, then lengthen throttle rod until injection pump lever just begins to contact full throttle stop, see image.

5. Release bellcrank, then tighten throttle rod locknut Reconnect T.V. cable.

6. Depress and hold tab on upper end of cable, then move slider through fitting in direction away from bellcrank lever. When slider stops against metal fitting, release tab.

7. Rotate bellcrank to full throttle stop position, then release. Slider should automatically ratchet out of cable fitting.

8. Reconnect throttle rod, then the cruise control rod, if equipped. If bellcrank full throttle stop is not obtained when accelerator pedal is completely depressed, all full throttle adjustments must be made by depressing accelerator pedal instead of rotating the bellcrank by hand.
