IGNITION NOISE IN FM RADIO - ALL 1983 MODELS

A non-conducting lubricant is used on the ends of the ignition wires when they are inserted into the distributor cap. There have been some instances where the amount of lubricant used is excessive and the lubricant has been forced into the cap and coats the electrical contacts, resulting in ignition noise on the FM band of the radio. Should this occur, the lubricant must be wiped away with a clean, dry cloth.
