C.Check System Refrigerant Charge: Engine Off

FIGURE 1 - CONNECTING MANIFOLD GAGE SET:

1. Connect manifold gage set to system high and low gage fittings. Refer to Figure 1. Check that refrigerant charge is 50 psi minimum before continuing to step D.

2. If system refrigerant charge is less than 50 psi, refer to Service Information Manual and:

a. Charge system with one pound of R12 refrigerant.

b. Leak test system.

c. Repair leaks.

d. Evacuate and charge system with 1.02 Kg (2.25 lbs.) of R12 refrigerant.

e. Leak test system.
