SUBJECT: NOISES CAUSED BY POWER STEERING CYLINDER LINE CONTACTING HVAC CASE

Some 1984-1988 Cimarrons may experience a condition of a hiss, buzz, rattle, or ground-out noise condition from the front of the vehicle or behind the instrument panel.

This condition may be caused by one of the power steering cylinder lines contacting the HVAC case. Refer to Figure 1.

If a cylinder line is found to be in contact with the HVAC case, carefully reposition the line away from the area of contact. Avoid severe bending.
