SPECIAL POLICY ADJUSTMENT

This special policy covers the condition described above for those vehicles over 50,000 miles. A one time free inspection and, if necessary, free replacement of a cracked exhaust manifold (regardless of time/mileage) for three (3) months (90 days) from date of the owner letter is provided for by the "Special Policy". Correction will consist of the installation of a new exhaust manifold and/or exhaust pipe seal, at no charge to the owner.

NOTICE: This policy applies to these vehicles produced with 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engines (option code LQ5) and California emissions (option code NB2), regardless of current state residence of the owner.

This "Special Policy Adjustment Bulletin" should be filed in the three ring binder previously furnished to the dealer by General Motors.

VEHICLES INVOLVED

The following vehicles are eligible for this Special Policy Adjustment:

All 1985-1986 Cimarron models built with 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engines (option code LQ5) and California emissions (option code NB2).

OWNER NOTIFICATION

OWNERS OF VEHICLES AFFECTED BY THIS SPECIAL POLICY ADJUSTMENT WILL BE NOTIFIED BY LETTER FROM CADILLAC MOTOR CAR COMPANY. A COPY OF THE OWNER LETTER IS ATTACHED.

PARTS INFORMATION

The following parts required to complete this Special Policy Adjustment should be obtained from the Parts Distribution Centers of the General Motors Service Parts Operations (GMSPO). A description is provided below:

If there is difficulty obtaining these parts using normal ordering procedures, dealers may place a C.I.O. using advise Code "2" with no special instruction code. The parts may also be ordered on a V.I.P. order; however, unless prior zone approval is obtained, dealers will be required to absorb any surcharge involved under the V.I.P. system.
