SUBJECT: BROKEN AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR DISCHARGE PIPE

MODELS AFFECTED: 1985 AND 1986 CIMARRONS EQUIPPED WITH 2.0L ENGINES

A.C. Compressor:

Some 1985 and 1986 Cimarrons equipped with the 2.0L/L4 engine may experience a broken air conditioning compressor discharge pipe.

A bracket and clamp support kit, to prevent recurrence of the failure, is now available from GMWDD under part number 22535625.

The bracket can be installed by removing the compressor to bracket bolt and installing the new bracket and clamp as shown below.
For warranty purposes use Labor Operation T6164 for .3 hours.
