SUBJECT: INTERMITTENT HORN OPERATION WHEN HORN PAD IS DEPRESSED

MODELS AFFECTED: 1985-1987 CIMARRON

FIGURE 1 - ORIGINAL AND REPLACEMENT HORN CONTACTS:

Some 1985-1987 Cimarrons built before 1987 VIN breakpoint 511818 may exhibit inoperative or intermittent horn operation when the horn pad is pressed. This condition may be caused by an intermittent horn contact ground path.

To repair this condition, replace the horn contact with P/N 17988202, see Figure 1.
For warranty purposes, use Labor Operation E7100 for .4 hours.
