SUBJECT: VALVE COVER OIL LEAK

MODELS AFFECTED: 1985-1986 CIMARRON EQUIPPED WITH 2.8L - V-6 ENGINES

Some 1985 Cimarrons equipped with the 2.8L V-6 engine may exhibit oil leaks from the rocker arm cover area.

To correct this condition, the 1986 rocker arm cover gasket (P/N 14089253) can be installed. This gasket does not supersede the use of RTV, but is available as an optional method for sealing the rocker arm cover.

For warranty purposes, please use the following Labor Operations and Times.
