SUBJECT: VISTA-VENT HARDWARE NUT

MODELS AFFECTED: 1982 THROUGH 1986 CIMARRONS WITH VISTA-VENT OPTION (AD3)

NUT AND BUSHING:

Some Cimarrons equipped with a Vista-Vent may experience a water leak condition at the hinge and/or latch attachments. This condition may be caused by poor sealing of the nut and bushing assemblies. To correct this condition a new nut has been released (P/N 20664430). This nut has an integral seal and does not require the use of the bushing (refer to Figure 1).

Whenever service of one of the old style nuts is required, all of the nuts must be replaced with new style nut due to its lower profile and different appearance.
