INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. New front cover and inlet gaskets.
IMPORTANT
^ Put a bead of RTV on the front cover lip on the oil pan sealing surface. This bead must be placed along the front cover lip behind the two oil pan-to-front cover bolts. This will prevent oil leakage through the bolt threads.
^ Put a 1/4" bead of RTV on the oil pan where the oil pan, block and front cover join together. The 1/4" bead is required because the front cover has a rounded corner instead of square. If the extra RTV is not applied an oil leak may occur.
^ Any excess RTV, squeezed out of the sealing area, should be removed.
