Intermittent Codes VS. Hard Failures

An intermittent ``trouble code'' can be an ECM code which has occurred within the last 50 ignition cycles, or a BCM code which has occurred within the last 100 ignition cycles. A hard ``trouble code'' indicates a failure which has been detected the last time the ECM or BCM tested the circuit.
