SUBJECT: FRONT BRAKE DISC PAD CHANGE

MODELS AFFECTED: 1985-1986 DE VILLE AND FLEETWOOD

Effective approximately May 1, 1986, De Villes and Fleetwoods will be assembled with front disc brake pads which have a new lining material (DM 8087) and a new three layer noise insulator. These brake pads can be identified as shown in the illustration.
The new front disc pads are available from GMWDD under part number 12321422. Front disc brake noise can be reduced on 1985-1986 De Villes and Fleetwoods manufactured prior to the above brake pad change by the installation of the new lining service kit.
