Accumulator HVAC: Service and Repair

Accumulator:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Duct to air cleaner housing (3 retainers).
2. Accumulator inlet (3) and outlet fittings (4).


NOTE: All line connections and accumulator openings must be plugged or sealed immediately to prevent entry of dirt and moisture into system.

3. Accumulator retention bolt (5).
4. Tighten :
- Accumulator retension bolt 4 Nm (3 lbs ft).
- Accumulator inlet fitting 40 Nm (30 lbs ft).
- Accumulator outlet fitting 23 Nm (17 lbs ft).
- Low pressure switch 5 Nm (4 lbs ft).


NOTE: When making connections use care to avoid nicking 0-rings or cross threading connection threads.
