Front Suspension

The shock absorbers are removed through the bottom of the lower control arm after unfastening it at the top and bottom.
To install, place the retainer and rubber grommet on the upper stem and fully extend the shock absorber rod. Insert the shock absorber up into the coil spring and guide the stem through the tower in the crossmember. Then place the lower end in position on the lower control arm. Install bolts and torque to 20 to 22 ft. lbs. Install shock stud retaining nut and tighten to end of threads on stud (about 1 1/8 inch).
