Stator Shaft & Flange

1. Check stator shaft and flange assembly for damaged splines or damaged bushing.

2. Check orifice cup plug for damage. Do not remove unless replacement is required. Stator shaft and flange assembly is pressed into and remove with pump body. Do not remove unless it is necessary.

3. If replacement of stator shaft and flange assembly is required, proceed as follows:

a. Using tool No. J25359-3 or equivalent, remove flange assembly attaching screws.

b. Using an arbor press, remove stator shaft from pump cover bore. When removing stator shaft out of pump body ore, avoid damaging stator shaft.

4. Align dowel pin of stator shaft with pump cover hole.

5. Using an arbor press, install stator until it is seated onto pump cover.

6. Install stator shaft and flange assembly attaching screws and torque to 9 ft lbs (12 Nm).
