Low or High Shift Points

1. Check for binding or improperly adjusted throttle valve cable.

2. Check for throttle valve limit valve binding.

3. Check for throttle valve binding.

4. Check for throttle valve modulator upshift valve binding.

5. Check for throttle valve modulator downshift valve binding.

6. Check for improperly positioned, leaking or damaged valve body gaskets.

7. Check for throttle valve plunger binding.

8. Check for 1-2, 2-3 or 3-4 throttle valves binding in bushings.

9. Check for pressure regulator valve binding.

10. Check for throttle valve exhaust ball No. 5 and lifter improperly positioned, disconnected, or missing.

11. Inspect throttle lever and bracket assembly for the following:

a. Binding, disconnected or loose at mounting valve body bolt.

b. Not positioned at throttle valve plunger bushing pin locator.

12. Check for broken or missing governor shaft to cover seal ring.

13. Check for broken or missing governor cover gasket.

14. Inspect case for porosity.
