SUBJECT: THM 440-T4

PROBLEM: Blowing fuses

CAUSE:
Many units have similar colored wires that can easily be Installed on the wrong switch.

All domestic THM 440-T4 transmissions have a fourth clutch switch located on the pump.

Many units will also have a third clutch switch, located on the pump very close to the fourth clutch switch.

When installing the wires on these switches, it may be confusing, since both wires leading to the switches may be white in color, and are similar In length.

The solid white wire should always be installed on the fourth clutch switch, which is the uppermost of the two.
