Snapshot Mode
Selecting Snapshot.:
The Body Control Module (BCM) snapshot feature can be used when troubleshooting intermittent malfunctions in the system. When the snapshot is requested, a set of all BCM data parameter values and output status indications will be stored at that moment.
With the message displayed on the panel as outlined above, depress the Hi button, then depress the Lo button until ``Snapshot?'' is displayed. Selection of the ``Snapshot'' test type will result in a ``Snapshot Taken'' display with selected system name preceding it.
This message will remain for three seconds to indicate that all data and inputs have been stored in memory. The system will then automatically proceed to the first available snapshot test. Depressing the Lo button will move display to the next snapshot test. Depressing the Hi button with ``Snap Inputs'' or ``Snapdata'' displayed will select that test type.
The display will then be controlled as for normal data and input displays, however, all values and status information will represent memorized vehicle conditions. Depressing the Hi button with ``Snapshot?'' displayed will display ``Snapshot Taken,'' indicating that new information has been stored in the memory.
