A/C Low Pressure Switch

This switch is located in the low pressure refrigerant line. This switch is normally closed and allows the compressor clutch relay to energize, feeding voltage to the compressor clutch coil. If pressure drops below 5 to 12 psi, the switch opens, cutting off voltage to the compressor clutch relay and the clutch coil. The BCM monitors the state of the switch for diagnostic purposes.
