SUBJECT: LOCATING EXCHANGE INSTRUMENT CLUSTERS
Beginning immediately AC-Delco will provide a service to help dealerships locate instrument cluster and display exchange parts. The service will apply to the Following Cadillac components:
^ C-Car analog and digital clusters.
^ E/K IPC (digital cluster)
^ E/K CCDIC (climate control/driver information center)
^ Brougham 1990 and 1991 cluster
In the event that an exchange part is not available from the nearest AC-Delco Service Center listed in Cadillac Dealer Service Information Bulletin 91-I-1:
1. Have available the name and number of the AC-Delco shop which you initially contacted for parts. Only the shops listed in DSIB 91-I-1 will have exchange stock available.
2. Call (313) 974-0497 between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time.
3. Advise the operator of the part name and number needed, the AC-Delco shop initially contacted, the dealership name, address, and telephone number.
4. The operator will locate the nearest Service Center with an available exchange unit and the Service Center will advise the dealer when delively can be expected.
Please note that Cadillac warranty policy will provide for next day (premium) shipping in all cases. Make sure that the shop knows that next-day shipping is your preferred method of delivery.
This is a pilot program initiated in response to National Service Managers' Council and Cadillac Listening Post dealer concerns. If successful, the program could be rolled out to include all AC-Delco exchange items such as radios, SIR DERM, etc. Please assist us by using the procedures in DSIB 91-I-1 to locate parts before calling the AC-Delco assist line.
