SUBJECT: FALSE ABS CODES SET BY DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES (CLEAR CODES)

It may be necessary to spin the wheels when performing certain types of non-ABS brake related vehicle diagnostics. Spinning the wheels on vehicles equipped with Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS) may set false ABS fault codes. Before releasing the vehicle to the customer, check to see if any ABS fault codes have been set. If there are, verify their authenticity and clear any false ABS fault codes.

Refer to Section 5E1 of the applicable Service Information Manual for ABS fault code diagnosis and code clearing procedures.
