SUBJECT: SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE - SECTION 6 INTAKE AND EXHAUST PUSH ROD IDENTEFICATION
MODELS AFFECTED: 1987-1988 CIMARRONS
1987-1988 Cimarron 2.8L (VIN code W) engines have intake and exhaust push rods with different lengths. To distinguish the different length push rods, they have been identified with paint. The paint markings may be hard to recognize after prolonged use, but the push rods may be identified by their different lengths. The intake push rods are marked with orange paint and are 6" long. The exhaust push rods are marked with blue paint and are 6-3/8" long.
