Output Cycling

The ECM Output Cycling Mode can be initiated by depressing Hi button on CCP panel when Code .7.0 is displayed. The cycling mode, Code E.9.6 turns ECM outputs on and off. To enter the output cycling mode, proceed as follows.
1. Start engine, then turn cruise control instrument panel switch on to cycle cruise control outputs.
2. Stop engine and, within two seconds, turn ignition on.
3. Enter diagnostics and display Code E.9.5.
4. Depress and release accelerator pedal to display Code E.9.6. If Code E.9.6 does not appear, refer to Code E.7.2 of switch tests.
5. The output cycling mode will end after two minutes of cycling and display will switch from Code E.9.6 to Code E.9.5. With the exception of the cruise control power valve, which cycles continuously, the outputs will cycle on and off every three seconds until the two-minute automatic shut off occurs.
