Rocker Arm Cover - Right






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Negative battery cable.
2. Air cleaner.
3. AIR management valve and bracket assembly and move out of way.
4. MAP hose from throttle body.
5. RH Spark plug wires and conduit.
6. EECS (Evaporative Emission Control System [Fuel Vapor Canister]) pipe bracket from rocker arm cover stud.
7. Heater hose from water control valve or thermostat housing and move out of way.
8. Brake booster vacuum hose from engine supply line.
9. Seven rocker arm cover attaching screws.
10. Rocker arm cover.
11. Rocker arm cover seal.
12. Triangular seals and discard.

CLEAN
1. Sealing surfaces of:
^ Intake manifold.
^ Cylinder head.
^ Rocker arm cover.

INSPECT
^ Sealing surfaces of intake manifold and cylinder head for damage. Nicks and deep scratches should be filled with RTV before rocker arm cover installation.

Rocker Arm Cover Sealing:









INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. New triangular seals.
2. Molded seal into groove in rocker arm cover.
3. Rocker arm cover.
4. Seven rocker arm cover attaching screws.

TIGHTEN
^ Attaching screws to 10 Nm (8 ft. lbs.).

5. Brake booster vacuum hose to engine supply line.
6. EECS pipe bracket to rocker arm cover stud.
7. R/H Spark plug wires and conduit.
8. MAP hose to throttle body.
9. AIR management valve and bracket assembly.
10. Heater hose.
11. Air cleaner.
12. Negative battery cable.
