CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Based on a signal sent from the Body Control Module (BCM), the programmer adjusts the air mix valve position and operates the four vacuum solenoids mounted within the programmer. the solenoids control vacuum to the various vacuum actuators which in turn control the air inlet (recirc) valve, A/C - defrost valve, the up-down valve and the heater water valve.

TEST DESCRIPTION
Numbers below refer to circled numbers on the diagnostic chart.
1. This step checks for the proper operation of the up- down valve.
2. This step checks for the proper operation of the up- down valve.
3. This step checks for the proper operation of the A/C-defrost valve.
4. This step checks~to determine if the actual air delivery agrees with BCM command mode.
