EXC. TORONADO
1. Mark hood hinge before removing to aid in proper alignment upon reassembly.
2. Drain radiator and disconnect battery.
3. Disconnect radiator hoses, heater hoses, vacuum hoses, power steering pump hoses (if necessary), starter cable at junction block, engine-to-body ground strap, fuel hose from fuel line, wiring and accelerator linkage.
4. On 1986-87 models, disconnect AIR pipe, if equipped, from catalytic converter.
5. Remove fan blade and pulley, coil, upper radiator support and radiator, as necessary.
6. Raise car.
7. Disconnect exhaust pipes at manifolds.
8. Remove torque converter cover and the three bolts securing converter to flywheel.
9. Remove engine mount bolts, then three transmission to engine bolts on right side.
10. Remove starter with wiring attached and position aside.
11. Lower vehicle and support engine with suitable lifting equipment.
12. Support transmission with a suitable jack and remove three lefthand transmission to engine bolts.
13. Remove engine from vehicle.
