Heater Control Valve: Description and Operation

Heater Water Valve, Hoses And Pipes:

This valve is normally open allowing hot engine coolant to the heater core, but is closed by vacuum from a programmer solenoid valve when the Body Control Module (BCM) sends the appropriate data signal. The BCM commands the heater water valve to close whenever the air mix door is in the maximum cooling position.
