1. Siphon 2/3 of the brake fluid from master cylinder, raise vehicle and support frame with suitable stands.
2. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
3. Insert suitable drift through rotor and remove hub nut and washer.
4. Remove caliper boots, lift caliper off rotor and bracket and secure caliper aside.
5. Remove bolts securing caliper bracket, bracket and the brake rotor. Prevailing torque bolts used to secure mounting bracket cannot be reused. If bolts become loose or are removed, bolts must be replaced.
6. Mount tool J-28733 or equivalent on hub , Fig. 4, and tighten screw just enough to separate drive axle from hub.
7. Remove hub retaining bolts and the hub and bearing assembly, Fig. 5.
8. If seal is being replaced, drive seal toward engine, then cut seal off drive axle.
9. Lubricate seal lip and install using suitable driver, install O-ring and fill cavity between seal and bearing with grease.
10. Install hub and bearing assembly over drive axle and torque bolts to 70 lb ft
11. Install rotor and caliper mounting bracket and torque new bracket bolts to 83 lb ft
12. Install caliper ensuring insulators are properly positioned, coat mounting bolt shafts with silicone grease and torque bolts to 63 lb ft
13. Install hub nut and washer, insert drift through rotor and tighten nut securely.
14. Remove drift, install wheel and tire assembly and lower vehicle, then torque hub nut to 180 lb ft
