Fig. 1 Wheel Cylinder Bleeding:
FRONT CHANNELS:
1. Remove the reservoir cap.
2. Install the J-35798 bleeder adapter.
3. Attach the bleeder equipment to the adapter.
4. Charge the bleeder with 138 kPa (20 psi) air pressure.
5. Attach a hose to one front wheel cylinder bleeder valve. Submerge the hose end in a container of clean brake fluid
6. Open the bleeder valve, using a wrench.
7. Allow fluid to flow from the bleeder valve until no air bubbles appear in the container fluid.
8. Close the bleeder valve and remove the hose from the valve.
9. Repeat steps 5 through 8 for the other front wheel cylinder.
10. Discharge the bleeder equipment air pressure.
11. Remove the bleeder equipment and adapter.
12. Check the reservoir fluid level
13. Check the brake system operation. Do not move the vehicle unless the brakes work properly.
REAR CHANNELS:
1. Check the reservoir fluid level.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the "run" position.
3. Attach a hose to one rear wheel cylinder bleeder valve. Submerge the hose end in a container of clean brake fluid.
4. Open the bleeder valve, using a wrench.
5. Slightly depress the brake pedal for at least 10 seconds. This will allow fluid to flow from the hydraulic accumulator until no air bubbles appear in the container fluid.
6. Check the reservoir fluid level.
7. Repeat steps 3 through 6 for the other rear wheel cylinder.
8. Check the brake system operation. Do not move the vehicle unless the brakes work properly.
