In an effort to reduce the number of hood ornaments lost to theft, a method for prevention is being released. A 12 x 1/2" pan head sheet metal screw, P/N 11508797, may be installed into the bottom of the spring. This method is effective for the most common hood ornament theft cases but cannot prevent theft when wire cutters are used.
