Bulletin No. T-90-20
File in Group 9
Number 62
Corp. Ref. No. 919601R
Date Nov. 1989

SUBJECT: POP OR BUZZING FROM BOSE SPEAKERS WITH RADIO OFF

MODELS AFFECTED: 1989 DE VILLES/FLEETWOODS

This bulletin supersedes bulletin T-89-70, Group 9, which should be discarded. It is being updated to include a new part number for the relay.

Some 1989 Cadillac DeVilles and Fleetwoods equipped with the Bose stereo may experience a condition of a loud pop when turning the ignition on or the speakers "buzzing" with the radio turned off.

This condition may be due to a defective amplifier relay which causes the amplifiers to be powered when the radio is turned off.

The condition may be repaired by replacing the amplifier relay with a newly-available relay, PN 25537493.

The relay is located in position "B" of the interior relay center, behind the glove box.
