B483 Traction Control System Fault

NOTE: DO NOT attempt to diagnose this code unless B483 is current with the engine running.

Code B483 may set, with or without a "TRACTION DISABLED" message, at key ON prior to crank. After crank, B483 will be stored as history and a TRACTION OK" or MONITORED SYSTEMS OK" message will be displayed. This condition is not indicative of a TCS system problem. This code will be set if circuit 933 remains at 0 volts or at 12 volts for an extended period of time while the BCM is enabling traction control. "TRACTION DISABLED" and "ANTI-LOCK DISABLED" messages will appear while the fault is current. Refer to the anti-lock brake control system diagnosis in BRAKES.
