Output

When troubleshooting a malfunction, the PCM/ECM and BCM output cycling can be used to determine if the output tests can be actuated regardless of the inputs and normal program instructions. Once a test in outputs has been selected, the test will display HI and LO for three seconds in each state to indicate the command and output terminal voltage.

A brief summary of each output is provided below:

BO00 The "CYCLE NONE" display will not display "HI" or "LO" as this is a resting spot where no outputs will be cycled.

BO03 The Retained Accessory Power (RAP) relays display is "LO" when the relays are on (energized).

BO07 BO07 will cycle the Park output to the memory seat. Reads "LO" in Park and "HI" in all other gears.

BO09 BO09 will cycle the redundant relays only with the headlamp switch on. These relays will light the left low beam headlamp and left rear tail lamp. The relays are activated with the "HI" reading. Since the headlights will already be on, no visible affect will be noted.

BO10 BO10 cycles the chime output to the chime module. The chimes will not be activated with the key on.

BO11 BO11 will cycle the unlock coil of the door lock relay.

BO12 BO12 cycles the disarm output to the theft module. The display is "LO" when disarm is commanded. The engine must be running for this output to cycle.
